Dheenava

Dheenava is not just an idea or a project, it is a result of my questions as a student. It comes from my failures, my observations, and my attempt to understand what learning truly means.

Reason

It was the result week of the Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) exam, an entrance exam to IISc. My JEE mathematics teacher was deeply immersed in his teaching, but I was lost in my own thoughts thinking about what I now consider my first real failure. I call it my first failure because it was only the second time in my life that I had truly worked hard for something.

During those classes, I often found myself staring out of the window at the drivers in a nearby tour and travel bus depot. I would wonder about their lives. That curiosity became my motivation to understand what life looks like for someone who doesn’t make it to IIT. Despite my efforts, the result I received was just 15 marks.

That same month, I read 'The Man Who Knew Infinity' by Robert Kanigel. It was not just a book for me, it felt like a message meant personally for me. At that stage of my life, I didn’t have a phone or a computer of my own. There was no Instagram, no constant stream of motivational content. The great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan became my only source of inspiration. His struggles, his relentless effort, and his journey without formal higher education in mathematics completely changed the way I looked at learning. It shaped my mindset as a learner.

From that point, I made a firm decision: no matter what happens, I will get into one of the premier institutes of India. I wanted to understand the psychology of the top engineering students in this country.

Through my learnings, observations, and experiences as a student, I began to think about building a new way of learning. That’s how the idea of Dheenava was born. Every step of D9 has a long story behind it. This was just the shortest version.

The videos are designed for students preparing for JEE, GATE CS, and GATE MA, with a strong emphasis on a “lazy learning” approach—making learning efficient rather than overwhelming. Each video is kept short and focused, ensuring that the required topics are covered clearly without rushing through the material.

The primary goal is to build a deep understanding of concepts instead of merely solving competitive exam questions or relying on shortcuts. While many coaching centers promote quick tricks and shortcut-based problem-solving methods, this often leads students to believe they are improving, when in reality they are just memorizing patterns without truly understanding them.

In contrast, this content focuses on developing a genuine problem-solving mindset. It encourages learners to understand concepts in depth, analyze problem scenarios carefully, and apply their knowledge logically. The aim is to help students move beyond superficial techniques and build the ability to solve problems independently, based on true conceptual clarity rather than memorized shortcuts.

Vision

• Simplify knowledge for real life.

• Connect learning with thinking, not just exams.

• Support regional language learning by building content in 9 languages, across 9 states.

• Erase weakness and ignorance. Establish wisdom and courage.

Some visions are highly confidential and are never public.
